“About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.” Acts 16:25-26
Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns in worship to the Lord. They were not praying and singing ‘to get a miracle ‘ or ‘to get a breakthrough’ or ‘to bring down heaven.’ They had no such intention or agenda.
Their prayer and praise was not manipulative, it wasn’t ‘putting pressure on heaven to move.’ No. They were simply worshipping the Lord in spirit and in truth.
They were not asking the Lord to deliver them from that dungeon ‘through a miracle’ when that earthquake occurred. They did not ask for an earthquake to deliver them.
And that earthquake could have even been a natural occurrence without any divine intervention whatsoever. That was an earthquake region and earthquakes happened all the time. You will notice that Paul and Silas were not shocked that an earthquake occurred in that region. Earthquakes were normal in that region of the world. Continue reading

Why Are Some Pastors So WICKED?
Some of the meanest, wicked, most heartless people I have met in my over five decades on this planet have been pastors and ministers of the gospel.
Before you start cursing me, let me finish.
Read Ezekiel 8:5-18, where Ezeliel found great wickedness and sin inside the temple being practiced by the elders of Israel.
Let me tell you a SAD story.
Several years ago, a friend of mine worked with a mega pastor in Lagos for about five years. When he was about to leave, the mega pastor took back his car, ejected him from his apartment with EXTREME PREJUDICE! It was like they were ENEMIES.
The mega pastor lived like an emperor in the best part of town, he owned many luxury cars, had several real estate investments in the city, but he could not allow this young pastor to exit the ministry and start his own ministry in peace.
I have seen some pastors come on the pulpit and lay curses on their associates who wanted to start their own ministry. They would say all kinds of malicious things against them just because they decided to take their destiny into their own hands and step out in faith.
All these pastors who are very good at laying curses also left some other ministries and started their own, why should it be different fot the people who served with them? why should they make life difficult for people who have invested a large portion of their lives growing their ministries?
Why is the heart of man so full of wickedness?
Why can’t you wish another person well and pray for them to rise and fulfill their calling, assignment and purpose?
Why do you lay curses on men and women who served you faithfully for many years?
This is NOT the nature and character of Christ. Continue reading
A Prayer For Peace
A Prayer For Peace.
Lord thank you for your word upon which we stand today. Lord thank you for that which you have done for us in the past and what you are doing presently. We are eternally grateful for your unchanging, ever present love in our lives.
Lord I pray for my brother and sister who are going through an emotional, mental, inner battle, those passing through a severe trial that has brought them to a place of hopelessness, Lord give them your peace. Continue reading
My Prayer.
A Prayer.
Lord, thank you for the access I have by the blood of Jesus. Thank you for the Holy Spirit my intercessor who helps me pray with accuracy.
Lord I pray that you will give me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you. Lord, flood the eyes of my understanding with your light, that I may know the hope of your calling. Lord, deliver me from every darkness that clouds my mind and my emotions. Deliver me from self-deception, from delusions, from illusions of grandeur, from pride and from lies. Continue reading

Africa Needs Its Own Heroes.
In American movies and novels, something evil is always about to destroy the world and an American hero saves the world by stopping it. Such events never happen in Africa. We never see African heroes save the world. We must change this narrative.
I grew up reading African writers series. While I was being taught our traditions, the average American child was taught to think global, was taught to dominate and save the world. Not one protagonist in the African novels I read saved his city, talk less the world.
Read the novels of contemporary African writers and watch our movies, how many African heroes save the world? None. We raised a generation that never saw its heroes saving the world and we wonder why Africa is always being rescued by other nations. We don’t have global heroes.
America programmed us with their movies and books to wait to be rescued by Americans or by James Bond. Where is the African hero who rescues America and Europe from destruction? Is Africa so impoverished that it cannot conceptualize its own heroes who will save the world?
I was in my 30’s when I started thinking global and by then it was already too late. Bill Gates, Mark Zukerberg, Steve Jobs, were thinking global in their teens. They created products to save the world. No wonder their products are global.
America will not create African heroes for us. They prefer we beg them for help, for deliverance, for life itself. We must break free of this curse. We must create our own heroes, in our novels and movies, heroes from Africa who will save the world.
Praise George, May 1, 2020.

The Lord Is My Light.
Hello everyone. How was your weekend? I trust all is well with you.
The Lord laid a word on my heart for you today.
In Psalm 27:1, the bible says: the Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear, the Lord is the strength of my life of whom shall I be afraid?
In scripture light refers to wisdom, clarity and direction. The Lord is our wisdom. Wisdom is the ability to create solutions, to birth products and services which will bring value to the marketplace and reward you with money. Wisdom is the ability to come up with brilliant ways to do your job and to accomplish your assignment. Wisdom is the creative faculty of God at work in your mind. Continue reading
What Exactly Do You Want?
What Exactly Do You Want?
In Mark 10:46-52, we read the story of Blind Bartimaeus. The Lord was coming out of Jericho, surrounded by his disciples and a large crowd. Bartimaeus sat by the road side begging for alms. When he heard that it was the Lord passing by, he shouted, ‘Yeshua, son of David, have mercy on me.’
The people who were closest to him warned him to keep quiet. They saw his condition, they saw that he needed help, they knew that the master was nearby and could help him, yet they told him to keep quiet. They weren’t the one who would heal him. They weren’t the one who would deliver him. They weren’t the one he was reaching out to, yet they warned him to be quiet.
The multitude can be dangerous. The multitude can be heartless. The multitude can shut the door to the supernatural and the miraculous in your life. The multitude are insensitive to the cry of the poor, the weak, the helpless, the hopeless. The multitude move in whatever direction the wind blows. Do not follow the multitude or allow the multitude to hinder your faith.
This man was reaching out to Yeshua by faith, but the multitude wanted to crush his faith. This man wanted a touch from the Lord, but the multitude imposed itself on him and tried to shut him down. But the man rebelled against their witchcraft. Instead of keeping silent he shouted the more, he reached out the more. He refused to allow anyone shut down his faith. He cried out to the Lord, ‘Son of David, have mercy on me.’ Continue reading
