Lord thank you for your word upon which we stand today. Lord thank you for that which you have done for us in the past and what you are doing presently. We are eternally grateful for your unchanging, ever present love in our lives.

Lord I pray for my brother and sister who are going through an emotional, mental, inner battle, those passing through a severe trial that has brought them to a place of hopelessness, Lord give them your peace.

1. You regularly wake up in the middle of the night, or in the morning and ask yourself, with a nagging ache in your soul, ‘Why am I in this relationship?’ You are probably in a relationship from hell.

2. You are frustrated and confused. It seems as if you’ve lost your way. You feel out of sync with life and this person. You have this sinking feeling in your stomach that you are being drawn into something terrible, something bad. It is a feeling like walking in a desert when what you want to do is walk beside a beautiful ocean or lake.

Matthew 19:16.
A rich man came to Jesus and asked how he could ‘enter the kingdom of God.’ If the man didn’t have any problems he wouldn’t have needed Jesus. If his money was enough to solve his problems he wouldn’t have needed Jesus. In spite of the money he possessed, the man had big problems and he knew that only Jesus could solve them, so he came to Jesus.

A passage of scripture says, ‘money answers all things.’ “All Things” refer to money related things. Apparently it cannot give solution to all human problems, if it could then rich people will be the happiest on the planet. But sadly they are not. Money cannot solve issues relating to your emotions, mind and soul. Money cannot solve issues that have nothing to do with money. This man’s needs were beyond what money could provide.

The rich man asked Jesus, ‘how can I enter the kingdom of God?’ Jesus looked at him and saw what no other man could see. He saw what covetous and greedy pastors would never see. He saw what wolves cleverly disguised as pastors would never see. He SAW that the rich man was a SLAVE to money. Mammon, the god of money had imprisoned him in its dungeon. Jesus wanted to set him free from bondage to mammon. Jesus said you cannot serve God and mammon. You must choose who you will serve. You can’t serve them both.

‘Sell everything you have. Give the proceeds to charities. Follow me.’

These were not the words the man expected to hear from Jesus. These words cut deep into his soul and exposed the secrets of his heart. These words caused him pain.

Prayer For Divine Will.

 

Lord, May Your Kingdom come, May Your Will be done, have full sway in and take total pre-eminence in my life.
May my will give way for your Will to find full, complete, total expression in my life.
May your Will locate and find me.
May your Will bless my soul with peace.
May your Will align me to your plan and purpose for my life.
May your Will redirect the course of my life.
May your Will rescue me from the wrong path, from wrong associations, from wrong relationships and from wrong pursuits.
May the desire for your Will become a stronghold in my heart.
May my heart find peace in and rejoice to do your Will.
Lord bring me into the very centre of your Will for my life.
Lord demolish every resistance in my heart to do your Will.
Lord guide me, lead me, direct me and bring me into the right geographical location, the right place and the right people to carry out and fulfil your divine assignment for my life.
May your voice be heard with total clarity in the very centre of my heart.
Lord as I go in the way, speak to my heart and guide my feet in your Will.
Lord may your Will liberate me from the things that hold me bound, the things that limit me, the things that scare me, the things that confine me.
Lord deliver my mind, my soul, my emotions and my thoughts from confusion.
Lord bring supernatural order and peace into my life.
