Breaking Out Of The House Of Pharaoh, Part 2

Breaking Out Of The House Of Pharaoh, Part 2

Until you are free from the bondage of the house of Pharaoh you will not be able to pursue and accomplish your life’s calling and assignment.

Moses had an assignment to liberate about two million Jews from bondage. There was a powerful calling on his life to liberate a nation. But first the liberator had to liberate himself, the saviour had to set himself free. The house of Pharaoh realised that as long as it kept Moses busy with feel good activities which had no bearing or connection whatsoever with his life’s assignment, he would remain in bondage and never bring himself to focus on and pursue God’s will for his life.

You may work for a huge ministry, church or organisation and you occupy a high level position in it and you think you have arrived at the highest point of your calling, career or endeavour in life. But you may be wrong. Moses probably thought the same thing. What else could be bigger and better than being a member of the house of Pharaoh? The answer? God’s assignment for your life is bigger, better than anything that the house of Pharaoh can offer you. Moses had a nation waiting for his prophetic leadership but he was held down by the chains of the house of Pharaoh.

So that you know, the forces of darkness will never willingly allow you to leave the house of Pharaoh. The enemy wants to keep you bound to that house, bound to that location, bound to that organisation, to that entity. The game plan of the enemy is to enslave you to the house of Pharaoh forever if he can. To break out of the house of Pharaoh it must be by force. You must invoke the power of the Almighty God to fight against every enemy of your freedom, calling and assignment. Continue reading

From Where You Are

From Where You Are.

Genesis 13:14-15
The Lord said to Abram after Lot had left him, Lift up now your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward;
For all the land which you see I will give to you and to your posterity forever.

Lot had a fallout with Abram his uncle. When the Lord commanded Abram to leave his country, he took Lot his nephew with him. As Lot journeyed with his uncle he began to prosper. Lot prospered so much that his herdsmen began making trouble with Abram’s herdsmen creating strife in their camp. Abram was a man of peace. He wanted there to be peace between him and with Lot so he asked him to choose an area of the territory in which they grazed their cattle.

Genesis 13:9
Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me:if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.

Abram was a man of integrity so he asked Lot to choose first. He asked him to choose any area of the territory that he liked. This was risky because Lot could have chosen the area of the territory that had streams and rivers. Lot chose the very best part of the territory, land which was well watered and moved away from his uncle Abram.

Apparently all that was left to Abram was the ‘bad’ area of the territory in which they lived and grazed their cattle. But Abram was unperturbed by the state of things. His nephew had chosen the best part of the land leaving Abram with ‘nothing’. However, Abram had a covenant relationship with God. God was the reason why he had left his father’s house, left his people, left his country and embarked on a journey of faith not knowing where he was going but trusting that God knew what He was doing and He was going to deliver on His promises.

God waited for Lot to depart before He appeared to Abram because Lot wasn’t going to be a part of the supernatural event that was about to happen in Abram’s life. God will re-assign, relocate, remove some people from your life before He takes you to the next level in your walk with Him. Some relationships will have to be terminated if you want the Lord to move supernaturally in your life. After Lot left, God asked Abram to lift up his eyes and look ‘from where you are.’

God wasn’t interested in what had happened in Abram’s past or even his present situation. God was interested in what He had purposed for Abram and his descendants. He was focused on bringing Abram into the blessing assigned to him and his lineage.
God said: ‘Lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward.’
This was going to be a supernatural demonstration of God’s power. Continue reading

The Anatomy of A Calling-Part 2. Overcoming Distractions.

The bible says that our calling is holy. It means it is sacred. Something that is sacred should not be handled lightly or irreverently. Many desecrate their holy calling by substituting it with the pursuit of carnal things.
2 Timothy 1:9
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

What we have in Christ Jesus is a high calling. No pursuit or desire is higher than the calling we have in Christ. Paul said he pressed into his calling. If it were easy to obtain and fulfil his calling he wouldn’t talk about pressing into it. Many want to sit back and watch their calling come to pass. But they will end up frustrated. Nothing good in the kingdom will come to you without commitment, tenacity and a strong sense of purpose. We have to press in the place of prayer and study of the word. It is those who press in after The Lord who possess the blessings of the kingdom.
Philippians 3:14
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Paul prayed that the eyes of our spirit may be flooded with light, that we may have deeper understanding and clarity about our calling. This is a prayer we should all pray daily. When we have clarity about our calling we won’t fall into the trap of satanic distractions.
Ephesians 1:18
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

The enemy will throw a spanner in the engine of your life to destabilise you. He will try to keep you unbalanced on your feet so you never stabilise enough to pursue your calling.
The enemy uses distractions to keep us busy doing something else while we do nothing about our real calling. These distractions may not be bad things, in fact many times they are good things, good causes, legitimate pursuits. However The Lord did not assign you to pursue these things. The enemy entices us with success, riches and fame in the secular world. He tells us that the whole world will worship us and be friends with us if we pursue these distractions. If we do not focus on God’s will and purpose for our lives, we will begin to give heed to satanic lies and begin to pursue distractions. Continue reading

There is a Reason

Judges 6:6
And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the Lord.

When the economy of a nation is under performing, it impoverishes the people.
When the natural resources of a nation are unexplored because the people are too intellectually lazy, it impoverishes the people.
When the economic opportunities, possibilities of a nation are not taken advantage of, it impoverishes the people in that nation.
When a siege is laid against the economic resources of a nation it impoverishes the people. 2Kings 6.
When the resources of a nation are pilfered or pillaged by inside or outside forces, it impoverishes the nation.

This passage of scripture shows us that poverty doesn’t just happen. There is a cause, there is a reason behind every form of impoverishment.

Bad situations don’t just happen. Negative occurrences in our lives do not give birth to themselves, situations don’t just develop around us of their own accord. There is always a cause behind them. There is a reason behind them. Continue reading

Prayer For Divine Will.

Lord, May Your Kingdom come, May Your Will be done, have full sway in and take total pre-eminence in my life.
May my will give way for your Will to find full, complete, total expression in my life.
May your Will locate and find me.
May your Will bless my soul with peace.
May your Will align me to your plan and purpose for my life.
May your Will redirect the course of my life.
May your Will rescue me from the wrong path, from wrong associations, from wrong relationships and from wrong pursuits.
May the desire for your Will become a stronghold in my heart.
May my heart find peace in and rejoice to do your Will.
Lord bring me into the very centre of your Will for my life.
Lord demolish every resistance in my heart to do your Will.
Lord guide me, lead me, direct me and bring me into the right geographical location, the right place and the right people to carry out and fulfil your divine assignment for my life.
May your voice be heard with total clarity in the very centre of my heart.
Lord as I go in the way, speak to my heart and guide my feet in your Will.
Lord may your Will liberate me from the things that hold me bound, the things that limit me, the things that scare me, the things that confine me.
Lord deliver my mind, my soul, my emotions and my thoughts from confusion.
Lord bring supernatural order and peace into my life. Continue reading

The ‘options’ trap.

Having ‘many options’ is a trap.
Can you imagine Moses bringing the children of Israel out of Egypt and thinking: ‘Hmm…we have several options open to us. We could go to Morrocco, Sudan, Ethiopia, or even ‘Nigeria’. We could build ships and cross the sea to Britain, Spain or even America!’ He would have been lost forever, wandering aimlessly in the wilderness. The Lord was specific, exact and clear. Having clarity completely eliminates many confusing and good looking options.

Blessings.

A Weekend of Impartation

Prayer for emotional healing at the DBC/NGCC on Sunday 13:02:11

Here are some pictures of Praise George at the recently concluded singles and married conference at the New Generation Christian Centre (Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th February 2011). Pastors Phillip and Brenda Ayree are doing a great work there!

Praise also spent some time with the wonderful people at Restoration Chapel preaching about a topic very close to his heart: Clarity. Pastor James Nanjo is at the helm of affairs there.

Book signing at DBC/NGCC London 13:02:11

The book signing sessions also provided opportunities for one-on-one prayer and ministrations. Although the queues were long and thick, people patiently waited their turn to have their books signed.

It was heartwarming to be with a people who invest in their personal and spiritual growth through books, with some people waiting in line clutching up to 20 books!!!
