The Dangerous Pursuit Of Happiness.

The Dangerous Pursuit of Happiness.

Hello everyone,

We are told by society to pursue happiness, to do the things that make us happy, to walk away from relationships and people who do not make us happy. Success coaches keep telling us to ‘do what makes you happy,’ but in spite of all these people are still very unhappy. Many people have destroyed everything of value in their lives because they pursue happiness, not purpose.

In Mark 10, Jesus told a young man to give away his wealth and follow him. You would expect that the rich man would trust that Jesus knew what was best for him and that would make him obey the instructions of the master without second thought. But contrary to all expectations the man rejected the advice given by Jesus. He held onto his money and walked away in sadness.

He was sad not because Jesus was mean to him but because Jesus told him the truth. Jesus told him what was best for him, yet he was unhappy. He was sad because he had a skewed perception of reality. He was immature in his understanding of life and the things that are of value to the Lord and the kingdom. The fact that he was unhappy does not mean that Jesus was wrong. It meant that the rich man had zero understanding of spirituality.

Money is good but on a scale of value, the will of God, the plan of God for our life, the agenda of God are more important than money.

God’s will is more important than our short term happiness.
God is more interested in your growth, in the development of your character, than in your happiness. God doesn’t want you to be happy at all costs and by all means. No. God wants you to grow. Some of you are so immature that God cannot entrust you to handle anything of importance in the kingdom. If all you are interested in is yourself, and how rich you can become, how do you expect God to place the destiny of Nations and destiny of millions of people in your hands? Continue reading

TB Joshua And The Practice Of Paganism.

TB Joshua And The Practice Of Paganism.

When TB Joshua was alive, he was the enemy of all Nigerian pentecostal pastors. He was demonized, called an impostor in the kingdom, called a scam artist and was a pariah in the Christian community in Nigeria. They did not agree with his beliefs and practices. Many people came out openly to attack him, but to his credit he never fought back.

When he passed, some mega pastors stood on their pulpits and rejoiced that their enemy was dead. That their God had ‘killed him,’ as if God puts out contracts to take out his children.

‘who saved us, and called with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, that was given to us in Christ Jesus, before the times of the ages,’

2 Timothy 1:9.

We all are products of grace. We all are standing by grace. There is no person who is better than TB Joshua. Our works are like filthy rags before Christ. If we all are standing by grace, what makes us think we are in any way better than TB Joshua?

In Matthew 5:44, Jesus said: ‘Love your enemies.’

Not hate them,

Not demonise them,

Not rejoice at their problems,

Not celebrate their deaths,

Not tell your ignorant followers that your deity killed them.

God is not in the business of killing people. God is in the business of saving souls, restoring lives, securing great destinies.

But pastors celebrated and rejoiced at the passing of TB Joshua, rejoicing that their enemy was dead.

This makes me so sad.

This is not the practice of Christianity.

It is paganism.

The Danger Of Cloning And Comparison

Many of you live your lives as if God will assess, judge and reward you according to the giftings, abilities, calling and assignment he gave some other people. That is the reason why many of you want to RUIN your lives through comparison; always trying to be like other ministers, have what they have, do what they do, accomplish what they accomplish.
But God never asked or called you to do any of that. Continue reading

We Cannot Make This Journey Alone.

We cannot make this journey on our own. As much as we would like to think that we can make it on our own we should realise that Christ never intended for any of us to go on this journey on our own. He had twelve disciples for a reason: mutual support and encouragement.

Some people with strong ‘Type A’ personalities, like me, sometimes think we are strong enough, wise enough, prayerful enough, spiritual enough, brilliant enough, well connected to the Holy Spirit enough, know the word enough, are experienced enough, rich enough, even educated enough to make it on our own, by ourselves, without any input from other members of the body of Christ, but that is pride, self deception and it eventually leads to disaster. The Psychology Of Deception.

The psychology of deception.

This is how it works.
Tell a lie. Make sure it is a big lie, so big that it could probably be the truth. Begin to look for scriptures to back up your lies. Twist, misinterpret and pervert the scriptures to support your lie. Build a doctrine around this lie to help you propagate your agenda which is to manipulate and dispossess your followers of their money.

Now line up testimonies of people who believed in this lie and made money, who became millionaires. Keep bringing out such people on your pulpit to re-enforce your lie. Make sure that those giving such testimonies are professional, hard working business people who have invested themselves in their work and are reaping the rewards of their years of diligence. We Have Become Too Fat To Fight.

We Have Become Too Fat To Fight.

Someone asked me: “why can’t we pray for brethren who are dying to come back to life like the saints used to do in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s? Pray for them to come back to life as Peter and Paul did?

I answered that it is the prosperity message mixed with an unholy lifestyle that has sapped Christians of spiritual power. We teach success power, breakthrough, instead of the Holy Spirit power. We raise millionaires instead of raising evangelists, sending them out two by two to preach Christ, to heal the sick and raise the dead. Continue reading

Facebook is a waste of your life.

If you have been on Facebook for more than 3 years and you make regular posts, but you do not have a book, you are wasting your life.

If you make long posts or get involved in political, intellectual and religious arguments but you have not written a book, you are wasting your life. Continue reading

Many People Called Themselves Into Ministry

Many People Called Themselves Into Ministry.

After decades of walking with the Lord and observing the lives of people in ministry, it has become so clear that many people called themselves into ministry.
God did not call them. If God called them it will reflect in their character and life styles. But it doesn’t. There is no love, no Christ in their lifestyle. All you see is greed and ego.

The number one reason why over 70% of people are in ministry is money, fame and ego.
It is not Christ.

You will observe that many accumulate money and possessions like pagans, using the name of Christ to do what Christ would never do.
Many of them are pathological liars who are skilled in the art of deception.
The prosperity message is a tool designed by greedy people to dispossess the ignorant of their money and for crooked men and women to enrich themselves. Continue reading
